In these cases, parents and the camp directors and counsellors need to work together to put together a plan of action that meets the individual needs of each child. Parents will need to provide detailed information about the condition and provide consent for appropriate intervention within the capacity of the counsellor as first aid measure only.

Should an event arise, accurate assessment will be done to determine if emergency services are required – in all events an incident report will be completed and the parent contacted.
